The 4th edition of Bankers Meet, an event by TKWs Institute of Banking and Finance (TKWsIBF), took place in Delhi on 28th February, 2019.
The meet was inaugurated by Dr Charan Singh, Chairman, Punjab & Sind Bank and concluded with a key note by Shri Arijit Basu, Managing Director, State Bank of India. The meet had a representation of all leading private and public sector banks together with NBFCs, MFIs, Mutual Funds & Fintech companies.
Speaking at the meet, Mr Abhijit Singh, Head of Technology, ICICI Bank suggested the need to create a Fintech facilitator to coordinate amidst multiple regulators. Mr VG Kannan, CEO, Indian Banks’ Association also highlighted the challenge of reskilling existing manpower employed in banks and financial services industry.

The chief patron of TKWsIBF Society, Padma Shri Dr Pritam Singh said “Our vision is not just limited to BFSI sector, but to see that the sector catalyzes India’s growth to the largest economy of the world.” TKWs Institute of Banking and Finance will now create a Roadmap on ‘Engaging BILLION CUSTOMERS Digitally” and the roadmap will be shares by all the attendees of Bankers Meet, CXOs of all important BFSI organisation in the country, RBI and other Government BFSI Sector units. The Institute has also been invited by NITI Aayog to present its findings to them.
Through Bankers Meet, TKWsIBF continues its fundamental belief that the best way to learn is through Experiential Learning and all the participating students feel exhilarated that they could organise an event of such scale.
